How much will I need to invest?

You will need to invest 100% commitment and hard work to make your business a success. If anyone says otherwise then they are not telling you the truth! In addition of course there is the financial investment which we have outlined below

What is the Jasper’s franchise fee?

The Jasper’s franchise fee is a one off payment of £29,997 + VAT. This grants you the right to trade as a franchisee under the identity of Jasper’s Corporate Catering Ltd for the durations of the franchise agreement. During this time you have access to our knowledge, support and the supply of all your training, sales and marketing material and more. For your fee you will get the following:

  • Your franchise agreement specifying your franchise territory
     
  • Assistance with the location of your industrial unit and advice on leases
     
  • The design of your industrial unit and project management of the set up and opening of your business. With your involvement, of course
     
  • Ten day training course on all areas of the business before you begin trading plus business manuals on sales, operations, production and HR
     
  • A pre-launch development programme developed and managed in conjunction with you. Including an ongoing Google Adwords campaign, leaflet design and print, data cleansing, initial telesales and appointment booking
     
  • Your first year appointments booked. We will also attend the first few with you to make sure you’re as confident as you need to be
     
  • On-going prospect allocation of local companies that want your products and services for your own telesales activity (for the first 12 months at least 4 per week!). We’ll support you until you get the hang of it
     
  • A license for the award-winning Jasper’s Business Management System
     
  • Web-based CCTV inside your production area to help manage your operation
     
  • Support with recruitment and training
     
  • All the hardware and software you need to run your business: A projector (essential for use in your production room), printer and fax machine, lap top and desk top computer with two LCD monitors. 

 
Do I have to pay a deposit?

When it’s been agreed that we both want to go proceed with a Jasper’s catering franchise, you will need to pay us a deposit of 10% of the franchise fee. This will secure your territory and allow us to start the initial proceedings in head office. You will need to pay the remainder of the franchise fee on receipt of your signed franchise agreement.
(The 10% deposit is refundable for 30 days minus any charges for work that we have undertaken).

As it is an investment on both our parts it is good for you to know that we do not make any money from our franchise fee. The franchisee fee is used to complete the set up process, licensing, agreements and your Business Management System amongst many other things. Our only objective is to get you up and running smoothly, providing you with an effective and successful launch.

Are there any other costs required?

You will need £40,000 for the complete fit-out of your industrial unit including ovens, walk-in fridges, freezers and all other equipment. This investment can be funded with asset finance, which can be provided at very competitive rates. Other franchisees have found this finance method to be very valuable.

In addition, every business needs an adequate amount of working capital to get if off the ground. We recommend you have £20,000 of working capital for things like:

  • Initial stock and supplied
     
  • Utilities
     
  • Wages
     
  • Fuel
     
  • Customer debtor days


Is there an ongoing fee?

As with all franchises, we require an ongoing management fee. This is 10% of your turnover of up to £8,000 a week which is payable to us on a monthly basis. This percentage will reduce on turnover above £8,000 a week. It covers the costs of our monthly support activities, including:

  • On-going development and updating of Jasper’s systems
     
  • Continuous research into new products and suppliers
     
  • Regular reviews of your business performance to help your continual growth
     
  • On-site support from our team 
     
  • Support in converting leads into clients eg tendering for contracts
     
  • Development of your local sales and marketing strategies
     
  • Lead generation through head office sales and marketing activity
     
  • Training support
     
  • Continuous development of the Jasper's brand, website and marketing material


We have spent years working on our business model and systems, if you attempted to do this yourself it would cost you hundreds of thousands of pounds. Without the monthly management fee we would not be able to keep our support structure in place for our franchisees’ benefit.
